A pointless exorcise

KXTV reports…

“The two men accused of kidnapping a Stockton woman, taking her to Bay Point and having a priest perform an exorcism on her will not be facing any criminal charges.

Blanca Farias claims her estranged husband Jose Magana-Farias and son Victor Farias said they wanted to talk to her at a nearby coffee shop about the failing marriage. But when she got into the pick-up truck, she knew something was wrong. As she tried to get out of the truck, they held her down while a pastor she knew drove to the church an hour and a half away.

Farias said she was able to text her boyfriend for help, who then called the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department. When everyone drove back to the Stockton home,¬†deputies were there and arrested the two men.

The men were booked into San Joaquin County Jail for kidnapping, false imprisonment and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The San Joaquin County District Attorney Robert Himelblau said late Wednesday afternoon that unless additional evidence is presented, they will not be filing criminal charges against Magana-Farias and Victor Farias.”
