“A snake-handling preacher once featured on a reality television show, has turned himself into the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office.
David Andrew Hamblin, 23, has been charged with aggravated assault and six counts of felony reckless endangerment.
A judge ordered Monday afternoon that bond be set at $200,000 because of the seriousness of the charges. If he is able to post bond, he cannot have contact with any of the people involved, including children.
The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office said they responded to a report of a dispute involving a handgun on Sunday at 3:14 p.m. in the 300 block of Hickory Hills Circle in White Oak.
Elizabeth Hamblin told officers that she went to the park in Jellico with Jeremy Henegar and her four children. As she was leaving a park, Elizabeth Hamblin said Andrew Hamblin got behind them, pointing a handgun out of the window of his vehicle.
After arriving at her home, located on Hickory Hills Circle, Elizabeth Hamblin said Andrew Hamblin pulled up in front of their residence and waved a handgun. Elizabeth Hamblin, her children, Henegar and Angel Brotherton were outside the home.
Andrew Hamblin fired the gun in the air one time according to Elizabeth Hamblin, then pointed the gun at Jeremy Henegar and fired a second time, missing Henegar and striking the residence. He then fled the area.
Deputies say Elizabeth Hamblin’s infant child was in the home at the time.
Investigators recovered a bullet that was fired into the residence. Deputies said the bullet traveled through three walls and came to a rest in a bedroom closet.
A judge granted both Elizabeth Hamblin and Henegar temporary orders of protection Monday morning.”
