Breakaway Christian group declares war on gays

Attitude reports…

“A US Christian group in Maine called ‘Equal Rights, not Special Rights’ is campaigning to recriminalize homosexuality.

The group was created by Mike Heath and other heads of the Christian Civic League of Maine.

The group have said that they’re tired of “being forced” to accept homosexual lifestyles.

Heath said that “the war is on.”

“There is conduct that ought to be punished, and Christianity teaches, has always taught and still does teach, that sodomy is such a behaviour.”

According to WGME, the group want to start their campaign by removing “sexual orientation” from the Human Rights Act which was passed 11 years ago.

Speaking to the group, Heath said, “It it’s removed, what does it do? It very simply moves something, a behaviour that belongs in the closet back into the closet.”

“They think they can force people to accept their worldview. That’s just not what America is, not what the state of Maine is. And it’s not going to work.”

The group are currently collecting signatures for the campaign before the November election.”

  1. You guys are all insensitive and homophobic.
In a few years they’ll send people to re-education camps for jokes like that.
You can make fun of anyone – except gays, Muslims and women.

Straight non-Muslim men. Not many of us left.

  2. They’ve lost anyway.

And attacking the Christian Civic League of which they were once leaders just makes them look silly. In a Palestinian liberation front life of Brian kind of way.

Group of old whites. They need a new PR person.
